Norton Firewall recommends that I allow UltiDevCassinWebServer2a to connect to a DNS server. How can I tell what programme I have installed is using UltiDevCassinWebServer2a and whether it is something I want to allow?

Hi,

It is safe to allow all outgoing activities initiated by UltiDev Cassini, like DNS access in this case. Is it usually safe to allow inbound connections to UltiDev Cassini from inside your local network, given it is a relatively small home or business network. Allowing Internet traffic to UltiDev Cassini is riskier and until we release HttpVPN you are better off using IIS for Internet-facing applications.

UltiDev Cassini does not have any means to monitor incoming traffic to tell who is accessing it. Firewall software might have it though.

Best regards,
UltiDev Team.
