Just wondering if the source is available. If I develop an application, discover a bug in your product, and in the meantime UltiDev has gone out of business what recourse would I have to resolve the bug?

George,

source code of Cassini is available but is not free - only binaries are. We do sell source code to mostly large companies who don't mind paying premium for the peace of mind.

Having said that, we've successfully maintained six months release cycle, give or take, for a year and a half. So we encourage you to try UltiDev Cassini and send us the feedback - you will probably be surprised by how easy to use it is, and it will also be your chance to have an impact on the product's future.

Best regards,
UltiDev Team.

The reason I asked is that I am considering using it in a small commercial banking application. In the past I've been bit a couple of times when using 3rd party apps. In one case an application that was widely distributed began displaying a very generic "catch-all" error message for printing (had to do with XP) issues. Unfortunately the developer had gone out of business. So my only concern is that should we use your version of the server and at some point encounter a serious work stopping bug, and something had caused Ultidev to disappear (Hopefully not) our only recourse would be to use the original Cassini source to debug the issue. Therefore I am investigating our options in this scenario. I will send you an email with our contact information and we can then discuss the alternatives available to us.
