Hi,

Please bear with me as I'm fairly new to ASP, and have only just installed Cassini.

I have got to grips with using it mostly, but need to access my access database from within my ASP.... how can I do this?
I am just about to create an fpdb folder and try it from there, but would have thought the folder would need something extra?

Thanks

Hi there!

Could you please clarify whether you are using legacy ASP or current ASP.NET? The reason for this is UltiDev Cassini does not support legacy ASP.

Hi there.

We probably won't be able to provide comprehensive help on this topic because this is a general ASP.NET programming question. You should be able to use any resource on Internet explaining how to deal with Access database access in ASP.NET 1.1 - Cassini does not create any specific limitations affecting database access. In fact, since UltiDev Cassini runs under powerful System account, all local files, including MDB can be reached from ASP.NET applications running under Cassini without having to create ODBC DSN.

Best regards,
UltiDev Team.
