Hi,

I am new to UltiDev Cassini Web Server and exploring it. Somehow i could not figure out, how does a browser differntiate IIS hosting and Cassini hosting? For example if a web application 'A' is hosted on port 'X' in IIS and same port 'X' is being used in Cassini server to host some other application 'B', then localhost:X in the browser, point to which application 'A' or 'B' ?

Please let me know if i can provide any further information.

Hi,

UltiDev Cassini cannot share ports. UWS can, though, with IIS 6.0 and higher. Just like with IIS, Web apps hosted by UWS may do so by either by having a virtual directory, or by using a distinct hostname in its address. I.E. pretty much exactly the same way as IIS 6+ shares port.
