May be a dumb question but is it possible to create a VS 2005 install for Cassini and a "precompiled" web app?
We are considering using Installshield 12 as an option as was mentioned in another post to this forum.
Thanks for a great product!

Hi!
Thank you for your nice feedback. Nothing pleases us more than knowing our little Cassini works well.
You should be able to create an installation package for the precompiled ASP.NET application - nothing in Cassini design or implementation prohibits that.
Regards,
UltiDev Team.

Thanks for the super quick reply!
I have my web app which consists of precompiled (published) ASP user interface pages (dynamic port) talking to ASP Web service for Firebird database access over fixed port 8080. My system is XP SP2 Pro.
Just wanted you and others to know it seems to be running fine and a lot easier to configure than IIS.

Hi,
You've mentioned ASP, but unfortunately Cassini runs only ASP.NET applications, not legacy ASP. Sorry for the confusion.
Best regards,

I forgot to add the .Net. I am using Visual Studio 2005 and ASP.Net 2.0.

Hi,
Could you please help us understand what kind of issue you are facing? Are you observing a difference in behavior between UltiDev Cassini and IIS, or between Cassini and Visual Studio's internal web server?
Best regards,
