I was wondering if I can develop a server side web app under XP home edition using my copy of VS 2002. I can't find any information to help me configure VS 2002 to pick up cassini rather than IIS. Documentation seems rather absent?

That looked like a close fit. However, I am running VS2002 rather than 2003. When I try and open the solution (SampleNonIISWebApp.sln) I get the message "The selected file is not a valid solution file". I guess the solution was saved under VS2003 and is that isn't backward compatible (in true microsoft fashion).
If I try and open the .csproj file I get the message "Unable to open web project <application name>. Unable to validate that the path file <xxx> matches the URL path ... Unable to establish a connection to the server."
I don't seem to be able to alter anything in VS2002 to correct the problem unless I haven't found the right setting yet?

Terry,
VS 2003 projects are not backward compatible with original Visual Studio .NET projects as far as we know. You would have to upgrade the VS in order to be able to load Cassini Sample projects.
