Hi,

I have a little problem : after downloading and installing Cassini, i tried to test it with a simple silverlight application hosted in a ASP Web application (Project in VS 2008). I built it and registered a new application in Cassini.

After the successful register, i wanted to see my mini web site but an error occurred : 404 Bad Request :s

Can you help me ?

Regards,
Groy

Hi, Groy.

Cassini supports Silverlight. We would like to ask you a few additional questions to better understand the problem:
- If your SL application is hosted by a web page, do you get 404 when accessing the page, or when the page tries to load the XAP file?
- 404 usually means "file not found", not bad request. Are we missing something?
- If you add any other html or ASPX file to the project, can you reach it by browsing to it?

Best regards,

Shame on me !

It's not a 404 error but a 400 (Bad request).

Using Fiddler, i saw error happens when the page is loaded.

In my webSite, i have several pages and i can access to its when i enter the complete name.
ex : http://localhost:8080/Default.aspx (that works) instead of http://localhost:8080/ (Bad request)

It's not really important, but can i browse to default.aspx by default ?

I have other questions :
Your server will be include in a setup project to be deployed later.
- Can i hide shortcuts Cassini menu in start bar in the client machine to prevent access to the management interface ?
- Your picker default document doesn't seem to workk (when i choice a file, nothing appears in the box).

Hi!

Cassini does look for index.htm and Default.aspx if default document is not specified when application is registered. If you contact us via email, then you could send us your app registration settings and/or Fiddler session archive for review.

Our license agreement precludes removing UltiDev branding information, including menu icons. We hope you don't mind that. Hiding an icon would not be real security anyway since users still can simply type http://localhost:7756/.

When registering an app, the easiest way to do it is to pick the default document and then hit Generate button - it will set physical folder location, default document and app ID.

Please let us know if this information was helpful.
