A month ago I asked for some help. I have Cassini for asp.net 2.0 installed and I wanted to install the 3.5 version. I download it, Installed it 3 times. I can't seem to get the 3.5 to show up in the drop down list. Its just stuck on asp.net 2.0. It won;t let me install any thing else..

PLEASE Help

Hi there!

In case you are talking about "Target ASP.NET Version" list in the Cassini Explorer, then just like with IIS, 2.0 in ASP.NET version means both 2.0 and 3.5.

Please let us know if this has helped.

Yes it did and it still doesn't work. I can get asp.net 2.0 to work. I just can't get asp.net 3.5 to work, Can I ask. Does Cassini require Visual Studio 2008. I don't have that software. Just Visual Studio 2005.

Hi!

UltiDev Cassini runtime (Web Server and Web Server Explorer) does not require Visual Studio. UltiDev Cassini runtime allows to register and run applications. UltiDev Cassini Visual Studio add-ons are components that simplify distribution of Cassini runtime along with ASP.NET applications.

As for the failure of 3.5 application, could you please provide more details about what steps you take and what error(s) you get. Please take a look and Windows Event Log for error and warning entries related to UltiDev Cassini and ASP.NET.

Best regards,
UltiDev Team.

The steps I taken was to reinstall it. I uninstalled it 3 times and installed it 3 times.

The Windows Event Log, Where is that file.

The only error I see is when the page tries to load. I just setup a 2nd asp.net 2.0 page. and I'm have the same problem, Both Pages load with a "bad Request" error
http://topersbbs.dtdns.net:4077 This is my Home page and It works fine.
http://topersbbs.dtdns.net:16282 This is another page I setup in asp.net 2.0 and when the page loads I get a "bad Request" error
http://topersbbs.dtdns.net:1897 This is a asp.net 3.5 page and I still get the same error. "bad Request" error

If you need more information you have to tell me what you need and where to get it from. And does Cassini Keep logs, I didn't see any files that relate
to Cassini Web Site log files.

Hi!

Not a problem, we'll help you gather the information necessary to troubleshoot this issue. We would like to ask you to send us your application event log file. Here's how. First, please contact us via email so we could respond and give you email address where to send the file to. To export the event log, please do this:
- Start -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Event Viewer -> Application.
- Right-click Application and select "Save Log File As..." menu item, and then save the file and send it to us as an email attachment.
- Also, please send CassiniMetabase.xml file located in the “C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\UltiDev\Cassini\” folder.
We will review the log and the configuration, and will let you know if we found something suspicious.

Best regards,
UltiDev Team.
