I have downloaded Cassini and followed all instructions. I am running Visual Studio 2005. In the CassiniDevGuide it says to bring up my development's Properties and switch debugging...
How do I bring up the Properties? I have tried everything but to no avail. I gather I have accepted the inbuild debugger when I installed VS2005. Please help me someone. It seems simple enough except I can't find the necessary properties page.
Presumably a switch to Vista would solve everything but I don't want to do that. XPHome is fine for me.

Hi, Paul.

Sorry for confusion. We meant "Project Properties". To bring them up, please right-click your project/web site in the Solution Explorer of the Visual Studio and then click Properties.

Please let us know if this information has helped.

Thank you for that. I can now see where this is going. Now I seem to have a small (I hope!)problem with the correct path but I'll tackle that tomorrow.
I'm a bit green on all this so it's a steep learning curve.
Again, thanks

Wow, I got that working OK but now I want to upload my program to my ISP. Is there a page that helps me do that? I did the setup thing which seems to be OK on my machine but where do I go from here - what do I upload? And I'm only doing a small exercise program from a book at this stage! Having a whole lot of fun though.

Paul,

You need to check your hosting provider's documentation on how to deploy your ASP.NET application. Hosting provider will most likely have IIS for ASP.NET applications, so you won't need to deploy UltiDev Cassini - only the application itself.

Thanks team,
What's happened is I have uploaded the application files via FTP to folders the same as on my machine. The text of the application displays OK but my textboxes, labels and buttons do not.
I will see what my provider says but contact with them is difficult and takes ages. Thanks again.

Not a problem, Paul.

We could suggest comparing the rendered HTML as it produced by our application locally and when it's running from your hosting provider. In IE it's View | Source. See if there is a difference other than in ViewState field.

Thanks for all that trouble team. My ISP now tell me that they don't support ASP.NET! After telling me a while ago that they did.
I have another option which I will be pursuing....

Good luck, Paul!

When you look for a hosting provider supporting ASP.NET, ask them which versions of ASP.NET they support - and ensure yours is among them.
