Support for virtual directories?

First of all, I want to say that this flavor of Cassini is working much better for me
then Cassini, CassiniV2 and CassiniEX.
The goal at my company is to still support our web pages in the event a client
will not allow IIS on the box. I am working in ASP.NET and 2.0 framework.
While exercising a Webmenu control from Infragistics, ran into a problem.
IIS hosts the page OK, but getting page errors when coming in thru ultiDEV Cassini
with Object Not Found.
It is looking like the \aspnet_client sub-dir is not being found to get to \Infragistics.
As a test, I copied in this dir from \wwwroot to my apps dir, then added this line to
its web.config: <webControls clientScriptsLocation="aspnet_client/"/>
that did not work.
Are the virtual directories used by .NET to find the controls supported?
Thank you,
Gary

Hello, Gary.
We're happy to hear that you like our version of Cassini better than others.

While we are looking into the problem, you could try to copy aspnet_client folder into the root of your application, which we think you already did, but this time do not modify the web.config. See if that helps. If not, please check what URL exactly your control is requesting. To do that you could use a great HTTP tracing tool called Fiddler. To intercept requests with Fiddler you will need to make sure you access your application using URL containing either machine name, like http://machinename:port/, or IP address - not localhost and 127.0.0.1. With the help of Fiddler you should see the which URL returned error code very easily. That will tell you and us what needs to be done to correct the problem.

Thank you for responding.
I ended up getting it working by all dir \ig_common in my working wwwroot dir, then copy in the Infragistic controls from
\aspnet_client. It would be good to have virtual directory support.

Another question please. Is this a free tool? If so, is my company allowed to deploy systems with it installed for
client site Intranet use? (no Internet activity).
Thanks again.
