Hiya

I hope someone can help.

I am using ultidev cassini to run DNN 4.3.7. I have setup DNN with no problems. The issue i'm having is:

1. I open Ultidev Cassini explorer and open the DNN 4.3.7 application
2. It opens with no problems
3. I click the login link to change the admin/host passwords but get "internet explorercannot display the webpage"

The URL is http://localhost/Home/tabid/36/ctl/Login/Default.aspx

Can anyone try and shed somelight? If you need more info please ask

Many thanks in advance,

Louis

Hi, Louis.

We are not sure it it's still the case, but some time ago DNN had this little nasty design feature where DNN stores its root in the .config file. The url you sent, "http://localhost/Home/tabid/36/ctl/Login/Default.aspx", does is not in the "localhost:port" format. When you register an application with UltiDev Cassini, you usually get registered on the port other than 80. If you didn't register DNN on port 80 with Cassini, then the URL DNN has redirected you to is incorrect, mostly likely due to that setting. The easiest way to configure DNN with Cassini is to run DNN with Cassini from the very beginning, as described here http://www.codeproject.c...iDevCassiniWebSrv.aspx. Or you can try to find the setting in the DNN's config file, where application root is stored.

Best regards,

Thanks for the prompt reply.

I will have a look at it with my colleague and get back to you.

Thanks again,

UtilDev Team

Thanks very much, the tutorial I read said to let the system assign a port, by specifying port 80 my problem was resolved.
