Hi,

We are not sure right now, because demand for hosting web apps on consumer OS systems has been on the decline since its peak in 2013. ASP.NET Core web apps distribution and hosting will be significantly simplified by Docker. Although Docker won't be easy to install on systems with Virtualization turned off in BIOS or not supported by old systems, the size of the niche for redistributable web app hosting solution is steadily shrinking, leaving support for both OWIN and Core apps by UltiDev in question.

We probably will make the decision after .NET Standard 2.0 gets released later this year, as current Core runtime is in too much flux.

Hi folks,

Any update on intentions regarding hosting ASP.NET CORE, now that .NET Standard 2.0 is released?

Also, you mention Docker, which I believe I am unable to install because I am using HOME version of Windows 10. In the event that you will be supporting .net core, will this require Docker?

If UWS ever adds Core support (no likely, though), using Docker would *not* be a requirement.
