Summary Setup bootstrapper (Setup.exe) produced by MS Visual Studio 2005 seems being unable to detect unsuccessful prerequisite component download. Setup.exe mistakenly reports that one of the UltiDev Cassini product prerequisites has been changed or corrupted when the file in question does not even exist. Manifestation When user launches Setup.exe of a product that includes UltiDev Cassini Web Server for ASP.NET 2.0 runtime components as "Download prerequisites from the component vendor's web site" prerequisite, in rare instances Setup.exe displays "Setup has detected that the file 'XXX' has either changed since it was initially published or may be corrupt." Workaround Download and install UltiDev Cassini for ASP.NET 2.0 prerequisite runtime components manually and then install the product that displays the error message. 1. Download and install UltiDev Cassini Web Server Explorer v. 1.0.4; 2. Download and install UltiDev Cassini Web Server for ASP.NET 2.0 v. 1.0.6. Note for ASP.NET developers If you distribute your ASP.NET application with UltiDev Cassini for ASP.NET 2.0, consider using "Download prerequisites from the same location as my application" option for your Visual Studio 2005 setup project.
