Hi,

I haved used previous version of Cassini Webserver, it failed to recognize alias page names like home.aspx, login.aspx. Does this version of cassini recognize them?

we are not familiar with the "alias" notion. How does one create alias pages? If you give us an example, it should help.

Hi,

The previous verison of cassini failed to recognize web pages that comes as www.hppp.com/products
here the product is folder and typing such url a page loads....cassini fails to recognize this page.

Hi there.

It this a problem with the "default" document not being served when URL ends with the folder like "products/" instead of file, like "products/default.aspx"? If so, could you please let us know what is the name of the default document in the "products" folder. Also, is "products" a root of your web application (where the web.config resides) or it's a sub-folder, and the root is at the www.hppp.com level?

Hi,

Ya ...exactly this is the problem. The thing is...i created an application which was using Cassini as a web server to show web pages. While accessing url's like
www.site.com/products
www.site.com/Mobile

it didnt show up the default page. While searching on this, i found a link which said that cassini fails to recognize default pages other than index.htm/html. I have lost that link.

well the products is just an example...the actual link had folders and subfolders.... try with this site www.sas.com

UltiDev Cassini supports only a few predetermined names of the default document names in the non-root folders. Names include Default.aspx and index.htm/html. Unlike IIS, UltiDev Cassini supports user-specified default page names only in the application root folder, but not in subfolders.
