Hi all.

I'm trying to use Cassini web server but I found some installation problem like this:
"Filename, directory name or volumn label have problem."

If someone use non-English windows(especially Asia characters), they can't install it.

Thanks!

Hi,
thank you for letting us know - we'll look into it. Could Please tell us the version of windows you were installing it on to, as well as your locale/culture settings so we could reproduce the problem?

Hi!

I'm so sorry I'm late.
I'm using Windows XP Professional Version 2002(Service Pack 2) and my culture code is ko-KR.

Thank you for the update, JH.HAN.

One last quick question before we attempt to install it: Is it a regular XP Pro SP2, or specially localized Korean version of the XP?

Hi, JH.HAN.

We installed Korean version of XP Pro SP2 on MS Virtual Server 2005 R2, then installed .NET Framework 2.0 and Windows Installer 3.1. After that we installed Cassini Web Server RC1 and it went fine. Sorry we were unable to reproduce the issue. We googled a bit and found some people suggesting this issue occurs when the name of logged in user contains '&' symbol. We tried that too but still had no problem. If you have any idea what may be causing this, don't hesitate to let us know and we'll try to fix it.

Best regards,
UltiDev Team.
