Planning to use your web server in my own setup, I would love to not have any visual appearance to the end user:

- No Explorer right-click menu items.
- No start menu entries.

My question:

Is it possible (e.g. through command line parameters) to tell the MSI setup to not install any of these?

Hi there!

The features you mentioned cannot be disabled. We have to make our product artifacts visible in order to make UltiDev brand known and trusted by users. We hope it's not an uncomfortable price for your project, since UWS is a freeware.

Another reason not to disable it is because UWS could be needed by another application installed on the same machine, in the configuration that requires UWS explorer. Since UWS cannot be installed in multiple instances, and all UWS features are shared between multiple redistributable web apps, we need to maintain consistency.

Best regards,
UltiDev Team.

Hi there.

You should not have done this, as doing so breaks the terms of the license. We do provide this software free of charge, but we can't do this long term if every application developer makes us disappear on customer's computers.

Sorry i didnt realise this breaks the terms, i will adjust. I only use the server in local development and it has no exposure to any other user.
