Hi there!

Could you please attach your UWS.Installer.log.txt file and if possible, your Windows Event Log for analysis, as described here.

Best regards,

Hi there!

We looked into what causes "ConfigurationErrorsException: Configuration system failed to initialize", but can't find anything that would shed a light on this problem.

We are suspecting there might be something going on with the .NET Framework version. Could you please open Command Prompt and run following command:
Code:
dir /A:D C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework

Please copy & paste the output (or attach a screenshot) to your response.

Also, were there any other txt files in the "c:\program files\ultidev\web server" folder?

Best regards,
UltiDev Team.

Hi there!

We are at loss. We thought that maybe .NET 2.0 is missing and whether that could be messing up something, but it appears all .NET Frameworks are installed. We can't come up with any reason why this is happening.

Could you please try to reproduce this issue on another similar system?

Hey,
I made a Virtual machine on my system(xp install) and installed ultidev.
IT WORKED.

It is safe to say that some vital dll or system files might have been corrupted in my Win-xp.
