I ran into this error while trying to setup the proxy manager on Windows XP Embedded:

The underlying connection was closed: Could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure

I am able to connect to HTTPS websites from this OS. Any ideas?

Hi there!

This kind of error is invariably a certificate trust issue. Please take a look at the Event Viewer (Application) to see whether it has captured where exactly this problem occurred. Another place to look is to run MMC, then add Certificates (for local computer) snap-in, and then check Trusted Root Certification Authorities whether UltiDev LLC CA certificate is there. If not, the possible reason of the cert not getting there is if you ran an installation from non-admin user account.

hi..

am gettting the same error. OS is WinXp Sp3, IE is 6.0 , i checked certificate is there. pls help
