I have a web application. When i debug it in visual studio using cassini, it runs perfectly fine.However when i publish the application and register it in cassini and try to run it, it gives me an 'Object reference not set to an instance of an object' error.Any idea what could be wrong?

Hi there.

The only consequential difference between running UltiDev Cassini for debugging as a regular EXE, and registering your app with Cassini service is that when it runs as a service, it runs under Local System account, while when running as an exe, it runs under your user account that is likely to be more powerful. To debug your app with Cassini service, register the app your are debugging with Cassini service and then attach debugger to UltiDevCassiniWebServer2a.exe process.

Thanks a lot guys.
By debugging the registered application using your suggestion i was able to find out the problem and get it fixed(provide local system account, access to a particular system resource). Its working now.
