We have a web application that uses the Cassini webserver. When this yser attempts to launch the application he gets an error "Can not connect to remote server". When we attempt to open the Cassini Web Server Explorer we get a page can not be displayed error. We checked the Windows Applications logs and found the error An opertaion was attempted on somthing that is not a socket. This is a netbook running WIn XP SP 2. 1 GB RAM. On a side note...they wanted to check here first.

Hi there!

Please ask the user to restart UltiDev Cassini service (Start -> All Programs -> UltiDev -> Cassini Web Server -> Restart Cassini for ASP.NET 2.0 Service) and try again after a couple of minutes after service is restarted. TCP sockets sometimes stay open for a little while, preventing apps from restating. For better troubleshooting directions please ask the user to provide error info from the Event Viewer - it can copied & pasted.
