HELP!!! got error "unable to find script library"

Hi,

I am a newbie in using UltiDev Cassini. I met an error when i tested my web application with UltiDev Cassini 1.07 for .net 1.1

The error is "Unable to find script library '/aspnet_client/system_web/1_1_4322/WebUIValidation.js' . Try placing this file manually, or reinstall by running aspnet_regiis -c". I followed the s!!!SPAM!!!tion from this forum, copying aspnet_client from "c:\inetpub\wwwroot" to "c:\myapp", but I still got the same error.

Please if anyone can help. I ran out of my mind.

"/aspnet_client/system_web/1_1_4322/WebUIValidation.js" path is relative to the location of your application root. For example, If your application is physically located in c:\myapp (the location of the web.config file), then the complete physical path to the file should be c:\myapp\aspnet_client\system_web\1_1_4322\WebUIValidation.js. However, if the path to your application root is c:\something\else, then file should be in c:\something\else\aspnet_client\system_web\1_1_4322\WebUIValidation.js. Could you please confirm whether you have "aspnet_client/system_web/1_1_4322/WebUIValidation.js" in the root of your app? If so, can you see the script if you point the browser to http://localhost:[port number]/aspnet_client/system_web/1_1_4322/WebUIValidation.js?

Thank you for your reply.

Yes, I did put the "aspnet_client/system_web/1_1_4322/WebUIValidation.js" under my application root. I also found that, for the pages right under my root, there was no problem for validation. The problem only happened for the pages under the sub directories of my application root. And also, if I install my web application with ultidev cassini on windows 2003, there is no problem of validation for all pages. The problem happened when I installed my web application on Windows XP PRO. I did not test it under Vista yet.

Please help. I spent a few days on it and have no clues

Thanks a lot..this worked for me!...i had the same issue...spent hrs breaking my head....but now its ok....
