This worked perfectly for my problem (32/64-bit compatibility issues) - thank you! Might you consider putting the 32-bit exe files in the download section of the site - it would seem that I am not the only one to be having some problems.

To solve this problem properly, there has to be two separate host processes for 64-bit systems: one 32-bit for apps that load native 32-bit DLLs, and one for 64-bit apps that either load native 64-bit components or want to take advantage of 64-bit features when built as Any-CPU managed .NET apps. Currently only one of two can be installed, meaning some apps relying on native components will be broken. Therefore this issue is likely to be solved in future releases of Cassini.

Got exactly the same issue here, under Vista 64 and Win7 64. On 32 bit XP works perfectly. If you could send the 32bit executable it would be great...

Hello!

I tested with the 32bit and when I manually replace the .exe files with the 32bit version it works perfectly. My apps runs on Vista SP2 64bit and Windows 7 64bit. Btw, all my DLLs are compiled as "Any CPU".

My problem is the InstallShield installer now - the .exe do not get replaced even after the Cassini service get stopped. I will be working on that specifically today. In the meantime I was wondering if it was possible to get an msi that would directly install the 32 bit instead of the "Any CPU" version?

I'm happy to report that the InstallShield installer now works under Windows 7 64bit and Vista SP2 64bit. There probably was a timing problem so now the installer stops the server right after Cassini's installation terminates leaving ample time until the EXEs get copied. That did it.

The only remaining obstacle is UAC under all flavors of Vista, which kills Cassini. From my searches I assume ther is no new developement on that front.

My question about a 32bit installer remains too.
