Hi,

I've installed UltiDev Cassini WS and copied the asp.net 2.0 site into the desired folder. I've configured application from
Cassini explorer, started it and everything worked fine.

However, my site has an admin part, which is located in the subfolder named 'admin'. It has the Default.aspx, which is Default Document
as the asp.net site. When I tried to access that folder, I've received following error:


"The page cannot be displayed
...
Cannot find server or DNS Error"


Am I doing something wrong here, or this is some limitation of UltiDev Cassini WS?

Hi there!

There are no restrictions on subfolders - only on sub-applications. The problem would be if your admin piece is a separate application that requires being in a subfolder. For example, you should have no problem if you have just one application, physically located in the c:\AppFolder and mapped to a Cassini applications http://host:port/. Then your admin piece should be accessible as http://host:port/admin/, provided its files are located in c:\AppFolder\admin folder.

If you provide your application's physical and http locations, along with the URL to the admin piece that fails, we should be able to troubleshoot it for you.

It was my mistake, sorry...


I've changed some logic in forms authentication, and it ended in infinite loop, causing IIS to respond "Cannot find server or DNS Error" - that's why I was confused and thought it was server problem.
