After creating and deleting several sites while setting up and installer I get an error for a site @ 127.0.0.1:8080.

- It's a 64 bit asp.net 4 process
- connecting on PC-NAME:8080 works fine
- using another port works fine
- have uninstalled Ultidev and deleted data from programdata - error persists
- using another webserver @ port 8080 is fine

Any ideas most welcome.

Hi,

Could you please attach a screenshot of the bindings settings of the UWS-hosted app using the port, and also output of the "netstat -a -b -o >netstat.txt". Netstat should show which process is using the port.

Hi,

No other process appears to be competing for the same port. Could you please post a screenshot of the error? Also, could you please try to ensure that no firewalls are getting in the way, by, say, pinging 127.0.0.1.

Best regards,
UltiDev Team.

Hi!

Your system acts as if 127.0.0.1:8080 and localhost:8080 endpoints are already taken by some other process, but it does not show up on netstat output for whatever reason.

To test this theory, we'd like to ask you to re-register your app with bindings as shown on the attached screenshot: with specific IPs and hostnames instead of "All/*" hosts. If our theory is correct, when you hit Save button, you should see 127.0.0.1:8080 and localhost:8080 bindings disappear from the list, and only chris-PC2:8080 and actual-IP:8080 remain.

Best regards,
UltiDev Team.

The bindings you mentioned did not disapear from the list but the app now works on localhost/127.0.0.1 which is good enough for me.

Thanks alot for all your help.

Sure, we are always happy to assist!

Are you still getting 503/Service Unavailable when you point the browser to http://localhost:8080/ or http://127.0.0.1:8080/?
