Hello Team,

When i am trying to install UWS Pro on a Windows Server 2008 R2 with FIPS enabled, The installation gets failed with an error message, attached over here.

Hi, Jinesh.

Thank you for attaching a screenshot to the post - it's always helpful. Could you please take a look at Windows Event Log (Application) to see what error and warning are logged there? It often has good info. If possible, please cleanup Event Log, reproduce the problem, and then export Event Log as EVTX file to attach to your response.

Hello team,

As you asked, i have attached the event log over here.

I think, you can reproduce this issue at your environment by just enabling the FIPS Policy on your OS.
To enable FIPS on OS, run secpol.msc. go to Local Policies->Security options->System Cryptograpohy :Use FIPS complaint algorithms for encryption, hashing and signing set to enable.

Hi,

We were able to reproduce this problem, and we'll fix it in the next (20th) build of UWS

Notes:
To enable FIPS on non-server boxes, go to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa\FipsAlgorithmPolicy
and switch "Enabled" to 1.

Visual Studio 2010 also fails with FIPS enabled. To work around it, go to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0\Common7\IDE" and edit "devenv.exe.config" by including enforceFIPSPolicy enabled="false" into the runtime section of the config.

Thanks for your prompt support team. I have tested the Pre-release build and Its perfect. Could you please let me know the expected release date of the new version. Based on that i can plan accordingly.

Hi,

We have a few bugs to investigate and fix, so it's probably three weeks from now, give or take. Please do not distribute the pre-release build as it needs to be manually removed in order to install actual general availability build.
