I created a default internet MVC 4 app in VS2012.
It runs fine in VS2012.
Published the site to a folder.
Created a new site and pointed to the default file index.cshtml.
Something seemed wrong here because this file extension cshtml wasn't a choice.
I suspect this is the key to my error.
When I browse to the site I get an error 'Cannot determine the 'Could not determine which version of ASP.NET Web Pages to use.'
I have 10 plus years as a dot.net developer so If someone could point me to a doc I would appreciate it.

Hey I fixed it.
I needed to change the path to the published path and then ignore the message that the index.cshtml file is not at that path.
Walah it worked when I browsed to it.
So far years of intuition paid off. (developer intuition)
So this setup is on my development machine.
I have another box plugged up to the google fiber (so lucky where I live in KC) Network box. 100 mbit using CAT5.
So I plan on moving the files to what I call the website system.
So in spite of years of development my network experience is always done within a development environment at work.
When it comes time to deploy applications we provide the files and the network team configures everything on the production systems.
So that means now that I am running UltiDev Web Server Pro how do I make a site I publish available to the internet.
What do I do so if I am at work and I type in a URL to my test website and my site is available at work.
I plan on hitting up the network engineers but currently anything that would help educate me on the basics of this next step.
Thanks
Gary

Gary,

Would it be possible to attach a few screenshots to your next reply, of the UWS Explorer showing the property page with physical site's physical location?

Best regards,
