I am currently using Cassini in an application and am thinking about switching to the UltiDev version but have a few quick questions.

Is is possible to make an application run only on LocalHost? Right now I'm using cassini.dll to host the server within my exe so it only runs on the loopback interface and it will also startup and shutdown with my main exe for security reasons. Is there any way to use UltiDev Cassini in a similar way or is running as a service my only option? I could add my application at startup and remove it when my main exe exits but I was trying to keep my application more self contained.

Are there any functional differences between Cassini and UltiDev Cassini? I don't need to run the web server as a service and I only need to run one asp.net application but it kinda sounds like there are bug fixes in UltiDev Cassini that aren't in the asp.net Cassini.

Hi, Tony!

Even though UltiDev Cassini cannot be configured to limit the range of addresses from which requests can come, you can do it programmaticaly in your application.

UltiDev Cassini is a superset of MS Cassini web server sample functionality. When you install Cassini redistributable components, UltiDev Cassini service will always get installed.

Best regards,
