Application Failed to Start after Installation

Hi all,

I just follow the process to do a MSI Installation with Visual Studio .NET 2005.

When I install my apps, all the files are copied into the installation directory but when it try to start here is the message I got:

"The application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix the problem".

I just don't find the "application configuration" error.


Also, when VS 2005 is Installed on the machine, it will not do this error message....


Someone has an idea of what it could be !

Hi there!

We are not sure what's going on, but we would like to recap the situation to ensure we understand it correctly, before we start investigating.

Form what we can tell, you have created an ASP.NET web application bundled with UltiDev Cassini Web Server, following the instructions from our Developer's Guide. When you install your application, you point the browser to the URL where your application is running and get the "application configuration" error.

Please let us know if this is correct. and if not, please provide any additional information you think would help us understand the issue better.

Thx for the fast answer !

I think I found my problem, and this was not about the Cassini Web Server.

I had a dependencies to a Debug Librairie in my project ...so installation on others machine could not be done.


Now it's working very well .
