Hello team,

I have installed UWS Pro on my system to host my application. But now i can see that UWS is hhosing another site (http://127.0.0.1:5677) with Information about the System enviroment. This is a Problem from the security Point of view raised by one of my customer. How do I deactivate the hosing of this Debug-Information-Page, without having any issues to my application host on UWS pro?

Regards,
Jinesh

Hi,

If your host system is facing potentially hostile clients, it should be placed behind a firewall, with port 7756 used by UWS application blocked, along with every other port that is not in use.

Could you please confirm the port number. I expect it is 5573 not 7756 :)

Hi,

UWS hosts its own application on port 7756, not on any other port. Any other application should show up in the UWS Explorer, but it will be not an application UWS is shipped with.

However, same idea applies to all applications, regardless how they got registered: a firewall should be configured to block all ports except those explicitly allowed.

Hello,

A typo mistake. i was asking about the port number 5576. I don't think Ultidev is accessing only 7756. PFA the screenshot. Is there any other way, we can stop Ultidev to host ASP.Net Self-Check report on these ports (Just for my curiosity)?

Regards,
Jinesh

Hi,

Port 7756 is reserved for some features of the UWS and we do not expose or document a way to disable it.

Port 5576 is not used by our application out of the box. Please run UltiDev Web Server Explorer program to see whether there is an application registered for that port. If it is, feel free to unregister it.
