Hi Everyone,

I'm thinking about downloading cassini, my question is this, if I download cassini will I be able to serve asp pages and aspx pages on my site ? I currently use Visual Web Developer 05 Express Edition for updating my site.

Hi, SCM.

UltiDev Cassini can serve ASP.NET applications and static HTML sites, but not legacy ASP. Also, using Cassini in its default configuration as Internet-facing web server is not a good idea, because UltiDev Cassini service is running under powerful Local System user account. If an application running under Cassini is hacked, it may give attacker an full access to the most of files on the machine. We suggest using UltiDev Cassini mostly inside the LAN for serving Intranet applications.
