Hi, appreciate the work you've put into this excellent web server.

I'm just creating an VS2010 installer and added Web Server Pro (2.0.19) as a prerequisite.

I get an error as soon as the WebServer Pro tries to install from my installer.

Setup has detected that the file 'C:\DOCUME~1\xxxx\LOCALS~1\Temp\VSD189.tmp\UltiDev Web Server Pro\UltiDev.WebServer.msi' has either changed since it was initially published or may be corrupt.

It's very similar to this
http://ultidev.com/Forum...Cassini-web-server.aspx
But I use Web Server Pro not Cassini.

As that thread suggests, the file indeed does not exist in the VSD189.tmp folder.

Do you have any suggestions for why this may be happening? You mention there may be some missing files that you can send out?

Many thanks!

Hi there!

Thank you much for kind words about our product, we really appreciate it.

This problem is, unfortunately, beyond our control, so we can only offer a workaround, and not a fix for now. Microsoft deployment project boostrapper, the Setup.exe, sometimes won't download dependency MSI from the web with that error. Once it does it, the only thing one can do is to download and install UWS from our web site.

You can avoid this problem by including UWS MSI file prerequisite into your installation package, w/o having it downloaded from our web site. That will make this problem go away, but it will also not downloading latest & greatest version of UWS as we keep posting upgrades.

Another way is to use installation authoring tools like Advanced Installer, InstallShield, etc. Those have their own bootstrappers that don't have this problem.

Best regards,
UltiDev Team.

Ok, thanks for explaining. It worked fine using Installshield LE.

I wanted to pass along a possible solution to this issue. We were plagued with the same issue of the Web Server Pro failing on install. I dug around and noticed that the prerequisites were different for the the Debug and Release versions. Release had Ultidev selected, but Debug did not. So, right click on your setup project and go to properties. From the configuration dropdown, select Debug (I noticed that Active(Debug) was actually different than Debug on my system) and make sure everything necessary is selected and then do the same with the Release configuration.
